Lyrique Joseph

Ellaina Joseph, professionally known as “Lyrique J” is a platinum selling singer, songwriter and vocal producer from the commonwealth, Caribbean island of Dominica. Her moniker is derived from her innate ability to create infectious melodies and write heartfelt songs.  The product of a musical and religious household, she has been singing and performing since the age of 4 and began learning how to play the piano at the age of 13. Influenced by iconic artists such as Whittney Houston, Celine Dion, Nat King Cole, CeCe Winans and Michael Jackson, Lyrique refined her skills and learned quickly how to channel her talents into a passion for creating and singing. Her first professional experience in the music industry began in 2015 when she was invited to represent her island at a regional talent showcase hosted in the Bahamas. At this event, Lyrique secured the interest of several agents and scouts, including that of the CEO of IStandard Producers Don Di Napoli. This resulted in Lyrique collaborating with various producers and in 2016 appearing on the Billboard feature song as the lead singer and co-writer of "Show Me”, which was produced by California native Bedrock. Just a year later, her island would be hit with one of the most catastrophic hurricanes the region had ever seen and it directly hindered her ability to create and resume her professional career. However, in 2018, she plead her case to the government of her country and was later awarded a grant to attend the ASCAP "I Create Music Expo" in Los Angeles, CA where she would further expand her network and fuel her passion in singing and songwriting...
